The Tyre Recovery Association’s annual recycling day and dinner will take place on Friday 20 May 2016 at the Ardencote Manor Hotel, Warwickshire.
Following the success of the Tyre Recycling Day last year, which celebrated TRA’s 10TH anniversary, the event will be held in partnership with the Retread Manufacturers Association (RMA)
The event is extended to stakeholders of the TRA as well as members of the tyre and waste industries. The theme for this year’s event is ‘Meeting the Compliance Agenda’, delegates will hear case studies and presentations on best practice in the tyre recovery industry.
There will be a variety of speakers including representatives from the Environment Agency, WISH, as well as the Fire Service. The Tyre Industry will be represented by a speaker from Bridgestone and presentations will be made by the RMA and the BVSF. The briefing will be followed by the annual dinner. The entertainment for the evening will be provided by a Diana Ross tribute act, ‘Motown Magic’
The Part Worn Tyre Audit (Protocol) has been launched and successfully trialled at a local tyre retailer supported by the Tyre Industry Federation. In addition a strategic partnership with the British Vehicle Salvage Federation (BVSF) has been formed . The TRA and BVSF are committed to good practice and this partnership will aid both organisations.
